UN Security Council should provide strong military reinforcement to UN forces in DR Congo

Investigations carried out by Umuvugizi, show that the Rwandan military is evidently providing strong support to M23 rebels without any hindrance at the time the Rwandan Government is confusing the world by denying the accusation that many observers see as an open secret.

Reliable intelligence sources also disclosed to Umuvugizi that actually Rwanda has heavy military presence at the border with Congo and are providing all military reinforcements to the rebels currently in a fierce battle with Congo government troops and after fighting they retreat back to their military camps at the border.
Many military and security experts, who talked to Umuvugizi, confirmed that Congo should urgently be rescued by UN and world powers must show strong political will to provide durable peace to the problem in Congo as soon as possible.

Some of the experts we talked to include, Gerald Gahima, a former Rwandan Prosecutor General, now in US and he said that if United Nations has the political will, should provide military reinforcement to the UN peacekeepers in eastern Congo to enable them defeat the M23 rebels, like how Europe did it in Sierra Leone. Gahima says that if these countries end up not adopting this approach, it will be a big shame to the UN, especially at the time when UN forces seem to have failed to bring peace in DRC.

Another military expert who provided his views to the Congo crisis is General Kayumba Nyamwasa, a former army chief of staff to the Rwandan military now exiled in South Africa. He told Umuvugizi that to date the real problem of Congo none other than President Kagame and no one should be blamed for that crisis. Gen Kayumba provided illustrations of several people who have been linked to the problem of Congo like President Mobutu, President Laurent Desiré Kabila and Gen Laurent Nkunda, but the security problem of Congo persisted because there is no any other cause but Kagame alone, who has continued invading Congo for strong political voice at the world scene, now that he has self-styled himself as world spokesperson.

For Gen Kayumba Nyamwasa, this war is Kagame’s and has no benefit to M23 rebels, given the fact that its them losing a lot especially their children and their sisters who are raped and all these because of purely selfish interests of President Kagame who has increasingly shown his appetite of stealing mineral resources from that part of DRC where the fighting is taking place these days.
