Rwandan business community are crying foul due to “Agaciro Development Fund”

News reaching umuvugizi.com confirms that the business people of Rwanda are crying out for help due to the increased taxes imposed on them by President Kagame’s government.

A so called Agaciro Development Fund (where Agaciro means value) has been introduced by the government to the business people who are forced to contribute large amounts of money to this funds regardless of how they earn, they are forced in a way that if a person doesn’t contribute to the fund, he/she is considered a traitor and against the the Government of president Kagame .

The mobilization of this specific funds is being done by the trustees of RPF who move around sensitizing business people to contribute to the fund and instigating fear among the business people who are considered as traitors of the government if they don’t contribute to the fund. This is adding to the fact that Rwanda among all the great lakes region and East Africa member states at large charges the highest taxes.

Another grieving fact is that these funds collected from “Agacyiro Development Fund” do not benefit the citizens of Rwanda because this fund is owned by a click of leaders who share it among themselves.

One of the business men of which his names are with held for security purposes, informed us what is going on in the Rwandan business community is just terrorizing business men in order to fill the gap of the suspended donation ,I quote him ” We don’t understand why we are forcefully charged to pay contribution to this fund yet our leaders were the one who were supposed to meet this cost given that they are the ones who initiated and head the M23 mutiny group which has continued to terrify our Congolese neighbors , so they should be the ones facing the consequences of stopping the donations the Rwandan Government were receiving, which was as consequence of initiating meaningless battles that have no benefit for our nation, actually even before they were sharing the donations among themselves and only leftovers would reach us. Our leaders are the ones supposed to search among themselves and  use the money they extorted to block the loophole they created instead of squeezing money out of us ordinary people who have already been suffering due to the high taxes we’ve been and still paying” Un quote .
